Recently, Optical Innovation Corporation (IOI) based in Woburn, Massachusetts announced a breakthrough in UV LED lighting technology. Using its patented light recovery technology, IOI has developed LumiBright LED illuminators, setting new standards for the performance and reliability of UV LED applications.

The recent survey emphasizes industry standards that exceed the lifespan of LED lighting. IOI engineers conducted extensive analysis and identified an innovative solution to extend the lifespan of LumiBright. IOI indicates that significant effects can be achieved by outputting corresponding mirrors on LumiBright.

With excellent thermal management and long-term reliability, LumiBright has excellent strength and versatility. Compared to traditional arc lights, LEDs offer many benefits, including longer lifespan, increased control over output, and lower operating costs.

IOI President and CEO Thomas Brukilacchio commented, "We are pleased to announce this new technology to our customers as it provides a solution to market gaps. With our patented technology and thermal management, we can confidently say that the new LumiBright has a lifespan of over 10000 hours at the same optical power as the existing LumiBright."

IOI will meet the growing demand for LumiBright from various industries. This product is currently being planned for mass production, further consolidating IOI's position as a leader in LED lighting technology.

Innovation Optics was founded in 1993 and is located near Boston. It provides high-power LED light sources for science and industry, providing maximum photon transport, illumination uniformity, and stable optical power. With over 70 international and US patents, IOI products provide system level advantages for lasers and arc lamps in many applications in OEM equipment. The available LED wavelength range ranges from ultraviolet to near-infrared, including broadband white and multispectral options. IOI light engines are used as excitation sources in fluorescence imaging for life science applications, supporting photomask exposure, direct image writing, 3D printing, and photocuring. The ultra-high brightness LED projector can achieve 3D machine vision. The fiber coupled optical engine provides excellent light transmission for industrial endoscopes, medical endoscopes, microscopes, and UV point curing.

Beijing Zhichuang Huake Semiconductor Research Institute Co., Ltd. provides a UV LED and UV LED packaging method, involving the field of LED technology. The ultraviolet LED includes a main body, a cover part, a ultraviolet LED chip, and a liquid filling part. The main body is surrounded by a containment chamber, and the ultraviolet LED chip is set in the containment chamber. The containment chamber has an opening, and the cover part is covered in the opening. There is a gap between the ultraviolet LED chip and the cover part, and the liquid filling part is set in the gap. The liquid filling part is wetted with both the cover part and the ultraviolet LED chip, and the liquid filling part is set to allow ultraviolet light emitted by the ultraviolet LED chip to pass through.

In this ultraviolet LED, the liquid in the liquid filling part adheres to the cover and ultraviolet LED chip under the action of surface tension, so that there is no air interface between the liquid filling part and the ultraviolet LED chip, as well as between the liquid filling part and the cover, thereby reducing interface reflection and reducing the loss of ultraviolet radiation during the emission process.

The Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has provided a UV LED module, including several UV LED modules, substrates, uniform light films, varistors, timing switches and power supplies. Several UV LED modules are located on the substrate, and the uniform light films cover several UV LED modules. The UV LED module is connected to the varistors, timing switches and power supplies. The resistance of the varistors can be adjusted to adjust the light intensity of the UV LED modules. The timing switches are used to control the opening and closing time of the UV LED modules.

The ultraviolet LED module provided by the invention assembles multiple ultraviolet LED modules together. The ultraviolet LED module adjusts the light intensity by setting a variable resistor, and the on and off times are adjustable by setting a timing switch, thereby improving the application value of ultraviolet LEDs.
